Mediatrix of All Graces: The All Encompassing Title
One of the significant features of the Aokpe apparition is the title Mama Maria is said to have given Herself: Mediatrix of All Graces.
This title is dear to the heart of all Marian children because we believe that she actually mediates for u s when we pray to receive the graces Jesus won for us when He achieved by the power of his blood, our reconciliation with God, (Eph. 1:7).
Of course, we know that Jesus is the Supreme Mediator par excellence, “for there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Jesus Christ,” (1 Tim.2:5). However, the Blessed Virgin is invoked by the Church as Mediatrix “because by her maternal charity, Mary cares for the brethren of her son who still journey on earth, and are surrounded by difficulties and dangers”.
The church does not hesitate to profess the subordinate nature of Mary’s role, (Vatican II. The Church Art 62), a role that depends entirely on the Mediatorship of Christ, to which she joins her own merits, love and compassion. This was powerfully transmitted to Christiana by the Lord himself in the alleged apparition of the fourth of August, 1995.
Our Blessed Lord said:
“Your trust in Mary should be immense, knowing that by the will of God, her power is without limit. Through the graces God has bestowed on her, you approach the Eternal Father more faithfully. All that I could give her, I have given her, and all that she is able to receive she has received in fullness. If you ask anything from her, you are acknowledging the power of Divine Grace. She is the spouse of the Holy Spirit and she channels all graces; all such gifts you receive you owe to a positive intervention on her part. She has the power to obtain anything for you from my hands ……… She is the woman who has greatly humbled herself. At prayer, ask her for her intercession, as she will present all your requests to God. She is close to the heart of God. At Mass, she is always present”.
The only thing now necessary is to have faith in running to her in all our afflictions. She is there for us as our solace and refuge, and she wants her role to be honored. According to Christiana, Mama Maria told her on the 4th of August, 1995. “Honor me here as the mediatrix of all graces from God, to be passed on through me to the children of God”.
When a person’s status is rightly valued, that person will certainly perform even more wonderfully. Once the dogma has been pronounced Our Lady, as the Mediatrix of All Graces, will be publicly enabled to help humanity even more powerfully than hitherto. The Blessed Mother longs to be recognized as our Mediatrix and advocate, and this end we should constantly be praying the prayer she revealed to Christiana Agbo.
