You see, my child, the unjust way so many in this part of the world are treated can only bring much trouble.
The Blessed Lady appeared and said, "My Immaculate Heart will be victorious. Do not be disturbed, my little children. Be willing to offer all your suffering to Jesus. I will intercede for you, my child. Pray for my children; offer all your pains. I give you my blessing, and may you know the peace of Christ. You see, my child, the unjust way so many in this part of the world are treated can only bring much trouble. For this country, the struggle will be long and hard, and you have to pray."
Part 2 Message of the Blessed Virgin Mary to Christiana at Aokpe Nigeria - 2nd Feb 1997
Our heavenly Mother gives us her blessing that we may experience the “peace of Christ”. That peace that transcends all understanding
(Phil.4:7). The relative peace parts of the world enjoy today can only be explained by the intervention of heaven considering the level of injustice in many quarters.
As scripture says, “He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?” (Micah 6:8 ESV). Unfortunately, social justice is not considered as “modus essendi” by many including those who are supposedly Christians. The consequences are inevitably chaos and war.
This is the reason our Mother imparts blessings of peace to us. She recommends prayer as a panacea but very importantly, she wants us to stop complaining and to offer whatever suffering, pain or injustice we may experience as penance to Jesus that it may complete what is lacking in the suffering of Christ (Col. 1:24) for the sake of the mystical body. This is difficult in the present circumstances but she promises to intercede for us and assures us that at the end her Immaculate heart will triumph.
May the grace of God help us to bear wrongs patiently, offer all life’s vicissitudes to Jesus for the triumph of the Immaculate Heart that sinners may be converted and peace of God reign on earth as it is in heaven. Amen
